his other stuff is alright

I really liked ToD when it came out. I'm in a different place now, so I don't relate to it as much, but it's a totally valid thing to like. Fun, cynical, sentimental indie rock with a pretty good grasp on that special kind of angst that's somewhere between teenage and adult life.

I'm rotating back to his earlier material now. Beach Life-In-Death is still an incredible song.

Will Toledo is probably the best singer/songwriter to emerge from the 2010s if you're not counting Frank Ocean, in my opinion.

His knack for writing very layered and epic songs make him a very needed breath of fresh air in the indie rock scene, plus I identify with many of his lyrics.

Twin Fantasy and Teens of Denial are both absolutely fantastic and his other stuff is great too.
