Prove you're not a pleb and review the last jazz album you listened to.
Doesn't matter how long or short the review, just put forth a concrete opinion and explain it.
Thrust by Herbie Hancock.
I never really gave him a chance because of that annoying shitposter but christ it's good.
I feel like grooving from the earth to the universe and painting my skin black.
Booker Ervin- The Freedom Book
I've never listened to Ervin before but I definitely will listen to him more based on how good this album was. It's all the good things about free jazz and hard bop at the same time. The piano player was really great too.
Mingus Ah Um - my man Charles
Complex yet catchy jazz tunes with a deep variety of solos all led by a bass savant
McCoy Tyner's Fly With The Wind. Great mix between his piano and the string sections, manages to avoid falling into easy listening territory with grace. You Stepped Out Of A Dream is the best song in the album, love how everything seems to flow not necessarily seamlessly, but rather as if layers, one trying to go over the other. It's quite nice.
