I hate how quietly he went here. Even you /mu/tants were in close agreement that the Allman Brothers Band was one of the best bands to come out of America. He had a few threads and then nothing. Whereas, whoever the fuck Leonard Cohen is gets his albums memed on Pitchfork and still gets regular threads here.

maybe in OPs posted song but the rest of the album is more of a broader statement for sure. dude had his demons but he sure as hell had a soul...he was like 19 or 20 and down and out in LA after being rung thru the corporate ringer when he wrote Whipping Post and Dreams- 2 of the most profound white boy blues songs ever....the next 45yrs were a hell of a ride. He still had it until the very end.
