I'd agree that it's their most mature album, but TDAG is their magnum opus.

I felt a little too much Modest Mouse influence on SF, and while I do like Modest Mouse, I don't think it works as well for Brand New.

It's still in the running for AOTY for me

Yeah but what about the 2 minutes before it?
Thats another bit of a peeve with the album, there's something lacking in the length of the songs, maybe its cause I saw the lengths before I listened to it as seeing 6/7 minute songs which turned out to be 3-5 minute songs + other bits made me a bit sad. I really like it if they'd jammed out some parts like they do with You Won't Know and Sowing Season live, Same Logic seems perfect for something like that after the 'you look so lovely, but you sound so ugly' part.

This, definitely an album that gets better every listen

It makes me sad this is their last album, because this is perhaps their best work, much more complex than what came before. This is gonna be my AOTY, that depends how third NIN's EP will be and if it will came out this year of course.
