Make Them Suffer - Neverbloom
Nothing,Nowhere - idk about his album titles but just look up his discography on youtube
Wolves in The Throne Room - Black Cascade
Xasthur - Subliminal Genocide
Any Alice in Chains albums, their music is essentially engineered to resound with people who want to die.
that picture makes me angry
One of the few albums I would call hauntingly beautiful

Are you asking for happy or sad music?
I hope you like Tom Waits. Not sure if depressed is the right word for this, but it's sad as shit
>>75002475
something like pink floyd's DSOTM/Slint's spiderland that tells you how you wasted your life or smth so rather sad

This has to be one of dumbest comments i've seen on 4chan.
You can be diagnosed for depression by telling a psychologist sometimes I don't feel good when bad stuff happen. If you literally cannot get out of bed because you burst into tears then I'm pretty sure you can claim you have depression.
>>75003773
saw ii and drukqs
>>75003867
thanks!
>>75002481
idk bout that Kommienezuspadt and table top joe are kinda upbeat, small change is more consistently depressing

>i'm running out of places I can hide from this
>>75003931
>this is the good shit for being hungover and romanticizing your own melancholic emotions
this is exactly what I do, and it feels amazing. Either while drinking or being hungover day after feeling sad as fuck. And it feels so fucking comfy and good
Try Sparklehorse. Perfect depression music. Also Joy Division

i should twist your balls and then you can self diagnose yourself as being in pain
>>75006964
>the sound of someone you love who's going away and it doesnt matter
Some good shit in this thread especially codeine but honestly nothing has described depression as well as deathconsciousness for me.

I used to think I had depression...then I went on an anti-depressant and everything changed (for the worse). Whenever I was at a particularly low point I seriously could not stop myself from crying. I knew exactly what was happening and knew I shouldn't be feeling this way and just wanted it to stop but it wouldn't. I was ready to just end it all in those times. It felt so strange; just so unlike anything I had ever felt. I can only imagine what it's like to have to feel like that when you're off the meds.

Sorry to hear that man. How are you doing now?

This album is actually horrible for depression, and here is why:
1. It is very relatable, and to a depressed person this sensation of having someone to relate to can be addicting, especially while you are feeling lonely. The only problem is, this album makes you feel lonely with the way lyrics describe everything.
2. It is short, and therefore, can be played over and over again. I once listened to this album five times in a row.
3. It can be played anytime, anywhere. Even when you're outside. In the early morning, in the dry afternoon, at night, it fits every theme for a depressed person. This brings me to my last point:
4. The album is addictive, and does not get old. This is dangerous, because this album can make a depressed person even more reclusive and lonely with enough listens. It doesn't help that the depressed have self destructive tenancies, and may end up using this album to "emotionally harm" themselves in a way.
The same can be said for solace, but all of what I just said 10x, other than point 3.

well, i think it's good music to dwell, which imo is very useful and healing - to a point. as long as you do stop listening and ruminating when you do start feeling better (which of coourse sometimes we dont)
Nice thread

better. I should have never even been put on an antidepressant though. I had lyme disease but my doctor just thought I was depressed. he was quite a lazy doctor tbqh.
>>75002096
I wouldn't recommend listening to new shit while depressed. I became depressed around the time the last AJJ album cane out, and now I can't listen to it or it takes me back to that time.
