Work on the sound of your voice. The project is quality but the way that you rap makes it sound amateurish. Experiment with using different versions of your voice (trust me, you have hundreds of different styles to choose from, just step outside of yourself and don't be afraid to be influenced). You also might be able to just add some effects to your voice to mak it sound more wispy/dark. I would recommend reverb and echo effects, maybe even delay if you're feeling like trying some new shit. But yeah, man. Your sound is pretty good, just work on dat voice

flaming guitar stylz you got there. Especially on What is this? + the timbre of your voice sounds like the singer from Man at work.
Overall very solid. Maybe a bit too grounded in one genre, but get get a good backup Band and play your hands off.
>>75001769
I've listend a some of your releases and I like what I hear. Tezeta is really colourful record. I like the variety of sounds and sampleing techniques on it. Low point is a nice contrast to this, because its much more sonically focused and had some nice guitar noodeling. But the pitch bended sounds on Book of gates at around 4minutes are really atrocious.Fav Track: Bloodstone
>>75001792
Both tracks are cool. Like the vibe and the way they develope. Fav Track: First at the bat (but only because of the flute solo)

good stuff. In my opinion the high-class production kills some of the atmosphere, but that is a pure matter of taste. Fav Track: Queue

>>75002826
wow true
it's not even close to being dark ambient, it's not even closed to being a finished track. the tracks are layered on top of each other without any consideration for rhythm, you are dishonest (called your stuff "black metal" a ton of times before), you have shitty artwork and your stuff is unlistenable because of the garbage mixing
pic very much related
>>75002685
thats to bad, because I think you are quite talented. Have you ever toyed with the idea of playing life accompaning something like an art exhibit, a play, or a movie?
I've been to some ambient concerts and to my supprise the artists were able to build a small but loyal following that enabled them to be artsy all the time. For example through events like that:
https://towertransmissions.wordpress.com/
>>75002905
well, I guess the most appropraiate label would be dungeon synth, but this stuff is way to clean for my taste - and yeah, the artwork and compositions need some work too.

Will rate others in next post.

>Have you ever toyed with the idea of playing life accompaning something like an art exhibit, a play, or a movie?
The idea was always there but unfortunately I'm quite unlucky in that department. I've managed to play three times live for few people but that's about it and nothing came out of that. Was planing to make an appearance on the local experimental music festival but got fucked over. Same stuff happened to me just few months ago. It felt like a sign in a way.
>Tower Transmissions
Nice, I've actually never heard of this one, shame really, looks quite good indeed. It is quite true that these ambient concerts are great. There is a series of experimental shows in one of our clubs (once per week, some people from Japan came by recently, the next one will be all Polish) but getting there requires a bit of a management and "a name" which I severely lack by not having shows in the first place.
Basically - bad luck.

Yeah, I know what you mean. You have to be a fixed part of a scene or do everything by yourself (own PA and everything). I payed a few galeria openings with my old noise/dark ambient - band, but they just wanted someone for shock value to show how edgy they are. They even told us to "dress up funny" - which we didn't.
I could really imagine a listening party type event for your stuff (pic related)

>>75002439
Replied to you in the other SC thread, don't know if you saw it though since it pretty much died. Your style & atmosphere is well done & your newest track sounds like a vaporwave / Caretaker version of the Elder Scrolls Oblivion soundtrack
>>75003429
Not much of a feedback but I've checked out Orange. A tiny bit too disjointed for me personally, especially the lead guitar but it has a style which I can totally appreciate.
>>75003652
Well, maybe ONE day. Hard to set a wager on in though.
>>75003699
Yup, saw it, sorry I hadn't responded yet. Thanks for listening, glad you enjoyed it, although "vaporwave" and "Oblivion OST" hurts me a bit - mostly because I do not like either of these (but Soule is great!). Good call on The Caretaker - a whole release is a bit of a tribute to his sound.
Heard Enclave some time ago. It has a very nice dream-y atmosphere and it's quite elegant enough but, for me a massive concept nerd, this lacks a bit of the personal voice, you know? Wouldn't call it "generic" or anything but it doesn't have the value of your personality/ideas of how you view music. Also, I do feel it developing a bit too slow given it's 8 minute length. But it's a great listen, both background and foreground.

I'm this dude, thanks for your feedback and I think I know what you mean about having some "concept" and "voice" to my music. I'm working on it, and yeah a bit more musical content in 8 minutes certainly couldn't hurt. Sorry you didn't appreciate the comparisons with your music, but the Oblivion OST and vaporwave aren't negative things for me - I actually liked your sound & Oblivion is connected to a lot of warm memories from when I was a kid. The Caretaker seems to pull from vaporwave a bit (taking old recordings, slowing them down, playing through different filters), maybe just in execution even though the concept is very different. Probably he wouldn't appreciate the comparison either. Anyways, only meant it as a compliment

Finding people who are interested in stuff like that requieres a bit a flexibility. Ambient music can be enjoyed by a wide variety of people from gamers to metalheads over artsy hipsters. So first off look if someone in town holds events like that - look for sound installations (the art folks), re-scored silent movies' (the cinema folks), industrial/neofolk/gothic/Darkwave concerts (they are often into this stuff if it has some dark and abrasive quality to it) - and basically work over a pre-existing group. Get in contact with the people as a customer (be a part of the scene, find out what kind of show people are into), and prepare a solid 30minute that are a bit fine-tuned to the venue/crowd and present it to them.
*actually rescoring silent movies is a popular way of gaining an audience because you are piggy backing on the name of the movie and it attracts a wide variety of people + most silent films are public domain. Some churches, universities and cafes are doing that pretty regularly.
>>75006166
Thanks for replying, I'll keep an eye out for things like sound installations and event openings happening in my area, and I guess I better start watching some silent movies.
These were some helpful tips and I appreciate it, thank you
>>75006342
Here are some good starting point for the silent movie thing because they are not all that long (<90min) and have interesting/exciting/creepy footage:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYF8BKwZj5g
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJoW1Xqndzs
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZ-OrfJHHro
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z97Pa0ICpn8
once you have some audience you can also reverse the process and edit the movie footage to fit your music --> or of course, use original footage / non

Thanks for these links, I've got to head out to work now but I'll save them in case the thread 404s before I'm back. I'd heard of Rick Wakeman and Nicolas Jaar doing this for some older movies, I'd never considered that it's something anybody could do with no contract because the films have gone into the public domain.
