On December 17th, 1977 Elvis Costello got banned from Saturday Night Live for playing his controversial song, "Radio, Radio".
Does anyone have a link to this performance? It seems that Snl/NBC take down any upload that sprouts up on YouTube/Vimeo. Hopefully one of you /mu/tards have it.

Was just reading about this and apparently the Sex Pistols were supposed to play but they couldn't get visas in time to go to the US, so they invited Costello while he was on tour here. It would have been interesting for an American audience to be subjected to the Sex Pistols, but I love Costello's music to pieces, and his performance was pretty great.

making him perform the original version of Less Than Zero on american TV was a pretty stupid choice
the Dallas Version is GOAT though
Is it just me or has SNL never had a metal band on?
