I'm starting to appreciate this kind of music and the way that it gets back to an era before ANY sort of Baby Boomer influence. Way more orchestral influence; way more traditional songwriting/show-tune/operatic influences. More polished than 20's/30's pop, but still old enough to sound premodern. Will the 40's make a musical comeback, /mu/?
The 50's was an underrater era, frank sintra and those crooners have a lot of great songs. And the birth of rock.
There are a few tin pan ally songs i personally like and folk from the pre 50's music world. But besides that the only music that was good was the blues and jazz.
