You're not missing anything, there's literally 100 dance albums that are better than this in general

The mix of rock/dance being fun to listen too while James has some great songwriting, it gives dance music the soul it often lacks. If you can't enjoy songs like Someone Great or All My Friends I guess it's just not for you
