I've never been on /mu/ before and I'm wondering if anyone can help me identify the instrument that comes in at 0:38 of "The Edge". I think it could be a flute. Flute or not does anyone know of any good songs that use this instrument in the same way- relaxing/drawn out notes?

This may not be what your looking for but DJ Quik uses flute (I assume synthesized?) embellishments in a lot of his songs that are pretty nice over the funk grooves he creates (he writes his own instrumentals, he doesn't sample and is an underrated artist, creating a unique west coast funk sound)
