ITT: Cult classics

It's not as bad as people say, but not as good as diehard Oasis fans claim it is. Some good songs on there, but production and mixing really is unlistenably awful. As loud as MG was, at least it had some classic tunes. The songs on Be Here Now are certainly not even close to classic, though some are a fun listen (particularly when they did them live).

Liam's voice sounds abysmal on this album.

It would only get worse too,
Seriously though he fucking started ruining his voice after WTSMG came out. Just compare his vocals on the album to live shows in '96 like Knebworth. He sounds so nasally and whiney on the latter and can't reach higher notes with much ease. By 1997 during Be Here Now, it was even more nasally and getting gravelly from all the wear and tear. And of course on that tour he completely destroyed his voice by 1998 to the point where he was just monotonously growling and forcing notes out into the mic, which he would continue to do for the rest of his career.
