Why do we never talk about The Kinks? They're fuckin brilliant lads
Best songs? For me:
Waterloo Sunset
Autumn Almanac
Shangri-La
This Is Where I Belong
Days
Sunny Afternoon
All Of The Day And All Of The Night
Dead End Street
Strangers
Do You Remember Walter?
There's a Kinks thread at least once a day. Lurk moar!
Uncle Son
Shangri La
Wonderboy
Big Sky
Wicked Annabella
Powerman
Autumn Almanac
Why did nobody list Lola?

Lola is one of the best rock songs I've ever heard.
>>74943234
It's one of the best pop songs of all time
Why are the Preservation albums so underrated? Sweet Lady Genevieve is their most gorgeous song, alongside Waterloo Sunset.
Sitting In the Midday Sun is great too, Mirror of Love is also one i'm quite fond of.
Although its not the greatest era for them, it feels like the last time they were 'The Kinks'. Does that make sense? They seemed like a completely different group by the late 70s when they became another Arena Rock group, and never got back that magic something they had from 1964-1974.
I'm on an island
i'll remember
village green and they basically invented distorted guitar rock
