The Who changed all that actually, if I'm not wrong they were the first to start jumping around and acting crazy where other bands start to follow their trend.

Oh you mean like hard rock guys in the 70s, glam guys in the 90s, grunge guys in the 90s, gangsta rap in the 2000s, and mumble trap rappers in the 2010s? These are just the mainstream ones, too.
