You consider exploring a well-respected artist's discography like John fucking Coltrane to be dumpster diving? You do realise he has records that are far superior to A Love Supreme but new listeners will never listen to them simply because they view Jazz as some niche genre where all you have to do is check off the essentials, that being. Kind of Blue, A Love Supreme and Mingus Ah Um.

Putting A Love Supreme on a pedestal as the single greatest Jazz album ever conceived is being intellectually dishonest and shows all you've listened to, is A Love Supreme.
