So /mu/, I've been preparing for drumline, and I'm going for tenorline, and my mom bought me these sticks but I didn't see them. I played them on my sound percussion snare pad and they didn't feel right. They're Vater sticks, and I wanted to know if I should get tradition wooden sticks or if these will work.
If you feel they're making you play worse than wooden sticks, you might as well. Good luck, I did bass drum and was co captain in high school, I'm assuming you're doing that or college. I used the vic firth marching series mallets and loved them, but I don't have experience with snare or tenor

Highschool, and I'm doing highschool. I'll probably buy a wooden Vic firth set. Thanks for the advice

I had never those big plastic heads before.
If you are playing snare-drum, go for wooden tipped 5b sticks (or 5a if you are a pussy)
If you are playing tenor, also get some of those with big fluffy masses
