I was honestly expecting some dark acoustic album akin to Opeth's Damnation, but it's turning out to be just another forgettable "nu-mastodon" shit like their last 2 albums.

That's the thing. Fans such as myself wanted more Crack because it's fucking goat, but here we with EoS, which is by far the closest sounding album to CtS. And it's their worst, most boring and least engaging/groovy/emotional album.
Fuck that, even pop-ey OMRtS was way better.

I was thinking about that point last night. Omrts and eos both had some great songs but there were just maybe two or three songs that absolutely ruined it. High Road and obviously Show Yourself could have been thrown in the trash
