I found out about this album in this cultural TV programme and they praised the album, albeit they did mention Homme went for more poppy arrangements, but I didn't imagine /mu/ would be that mad about it

Honestly the critical reception of this album is confusing, especially people who think the production is bad

the production and the mixing especially of the synth with the band is the most worthwhile part of the album imo

some aspects of the mix are bad like the drums, but mostly if Josh had cut TWYUTD, DA and TEHL the album could have been a 6.5 and salvaged itself. I'm not feeling the whole album, Un-Reborn Again is cool, Hideaway is also good and gets shit on when it's one of the best.
