why the FUCK is no one talking about this new Mogwai album?

well if you thought this of his other albums then maybe not, but it's definitely a breath of fresh air since every major release of the summer (especially this month) has been underwhelming.

/mu/ won't discuss Mogwai because of the "emotional dishonesty" meme or the "only 1st wave post-rock is good" meme. Their loss though. This board is a fucking sludge fire that is sometimes amusing to watch burn.

Album leaked about 2-3 weeks ago. Been getting comfortable with it. So so so much better than Rave Tapes. Old Poisons is like new Mogwai channeling Batcat-era Mogwai. Lovely synth textures this time around too.

I don't like listening to leaks. feel artist deserve my 2 cents or however the fuck much they get. Post rock is most certainly not dead. this and Do Make Say Think's album are my favorites of this year

Been waiting for this one for a while(fuck leaks) and since post rock albums are mostly pointless playing the same stuff over and over this album is very enjoyable and fresh.

Didn't even knew that they were releasing an album this year. Anyway, the only album from them that I liked is Young Team but I guess I'll give it a shot, not expecting much though.
