I love Cocteau Twins. I honestly think their music is otherworldly and in a league of its own. I can't be the only one who realizes their brilliance. What is your favorite album? favorite song?

You're far from the only one. I was at Cocteaufest in SF last year and the venue was packed.
Best album for me - Garlands. Love their underrated early post-punk work.
Best song - that's tough, I'd probably have to say Know Who You Are At Every Age.

We have Cocteau Twin all the time, but barely anybody replies to them. What the hell? This board clearly has fans, why don't these threads ever last? Anyways if you like them you should dig through this channel https://www.youtube.com/user/CocteauBuff/videos
There's a lot of really great stuff.

That's one of my favorite tracks as well, I really like the BBC recording of it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QXr0mbonOQI
Favorite album I'm gonna have to go with Blue Bell knoll. Favorite song is a kissed out red floatboat.
My dad introduced me to Cocteau Twins as a young teen, it has a lot of memories attached to it. I've yet to find a band that yields the same emotional response that this has on me. Plus I'm a sucker for anything with gobs of reverb.

This is optimal. Comfy headphones, lazy calm, waiting on the saxophone, and actually quite a compact little album.
Still think H&LV is the best songwriting effort and leans least on sonic effects over melody. Maybe best Fraser song is Primitive Painters with Felt though.
