Hey /mu/ whats your thoughts on old punk (not that new wave fag shit that sounds like cringy teen agnst).
I don't like The Clash.
I fucking love the Ramones. There were a lot of kids at my school who could play the "Stairway to Heaven" guitar solo but couldn't play three chords of a Ramones song because they didn't have the strength or ability to do it.
I love Green Day.
I like the Tony Hawk-tier punk like Dead Kennedys, Rancid, Cheap Time and Social Distortion
Not into post-punk, proto-punk or pop punk with the exception of Pint Shot Riot and Cheap Time

No band songs on their first four albums. Even then, the only bad song on Nimrod is Good Riddance.
This is not a popular opinion, but I will hold it until I die.

Reminder that post-punk is superior to punk in every way.

The Shitty Limits are a highly underrated band. If you like the Beastie Boys' early hardcore stuff, definitely check them out.

It was a necessary reaction to feel-good hippy music that was pervasive in the 60s and 70s. It acted as a catalyst for a lot of other genres at the time, both as an influence and for punk fans to discover
