This is the thing that fucks me up about the goth community. The interchangeable use of "goth" and "Gothic", which then completely confuses everyone not into the scene, and makes it completely impossible to tell shit. This is one of the reasons, its impossible to describe your metal project as goth metal because everyone will think its just Gothic metal... Christ.

That said, try the new wave of German goth rock, they take it the other way and play goth influenced by metal. Or Type-O Negative.
