Fixed that for you, OP
the moment that the guitars come in on don't leave me now is one of the most orgasmic moments in music i have ever experienced

definitely a great song
Penetration has one of the hardest, most intimidating riffs of any song ever
Sixteen from Lust for Life is great too

Suture Up your Future from Era Vulgaris too

I view I Never Came as part of a triptych on this album, concluding Little Sister and In My Head.
I also feel that Songs for the Deaf has a triptych contained in it from Six Shooter into Hanging Tree into Go With The Flow. That's a little more tidy as a Nick track into a Mark track into a Josh track.
I think you're correct -- it's a great song that doesn't get its due. But even for me it blends into the surrounding tracks very heavily whenever I think about it.
What I'm saying, OP, is that it's a deep cut eclipsed by songs that are easier to discuss.

some of his songwriting was a bit hit and miss for me, but this song doesn't get half of the credit it deserves for capturing a unique feeling so well.
