I don't think this was a bad album. It's better than Reflektor and Neon Bible.
I'd like to hear a real argument against this album that isn't based on the title track sounding disco, or nostalgia for Funeral.
wielkie marzenia, małe penisy
It's a great album, Creature Comforts is one of the best songs I've ever heard. Arcade Fire has no bad albums.

It's a very good album, but it feels constrained somehow - I assume it's a function of the concept they ran with.

Creature confort and Everything now are amazing live, the album is not bad but from Peter pan to Infinite content II you have their 4 weakest tracks ever, all together in a row, which makes it hard to get through them and leaves a bad taste in your mouth

Both fair points, I definitely agree that they had a spat of boring songs in there.

Arcade Fire are a band known for drastically changing their sound with every album release and I think this time around people are just disappointed that they decided to, for the first time ever, just make a 2.0 version of their last record. They sort of phoned it in here. EN is basically just Reflektor but shorter and more polished.
Also, their lyricism has taken a huge nosedive. Reflektor was the first Arcade Fire to have more than 2 cringy lines and Everything Now follows suit.
But yeah, it's mostly just disappointment that Arcade Fire had the gall to just say, "fuck it" and make the same album again despite their reputation for never repeating themselves. What's even worse is that they decided to do it NOW, after like 14 years of being a well-established indie rock monolith.
Everything Now isn't even as good as Reflektor t.b.h.
I think Reflektor and The Suburbs are better, maybe about the same as Neon Bible. All excellent. Funeral has never been to my taste, not a question of quality just not for me - but I love Everything Now,.

The worst song on Neon Bible is better then the best song on Everything Now
Creature Comfort, Put Your Money On Me, and We Don't Deserve Love are all great. I don't know if EN is as good as their other albums overall but it's certainly not bad.
