post albums that you think are overrated BUT you love them anyway

I'd like to know when overrated became synonymous with bad or "not good" or when it happened that you couldn't like an album that you considered overrated.
Overrated just means that you don't believe it deserves the praise it gets, which to any levelheaded person, isn't unreasonable. Especially when 'greatest of all time', 'most influential' and 'masterpiece' are thrown around reviews like confetti. Technically, any album rated 10/10 by ANY publication is overrated.

all hip hop music is overrated because it's the worst popular music genre

I love it, and it's one of Tom Waits' top 5, but I prefer Swordfishtrombones and Blood Money. They're better in my opinion. Rain Dogs is put on this particular pedestal that I think other albums of his deserve. Same could go for Bone Machine.

Yeah, I agree. It's good, and tracks like All of the Lights are amazing, but it really falls apart after Runaway.
