>Slowdive
i genuinely don't see what people like about this album
it would be incredibly forgetful if a different name was attached to it
>>74802194
sweet taste bro
>>74803642
I'm honest, it's my first exposure to Slowdive and even shoegaze in general, so maybe that's the reason.
In general I like sombre music that can balance layers and groove, and Slowdive hit that niche pretty well
>>74802065
Other than the gem that is pic related, probably Flower Boy or Slowdive
>>74803636
stop listening to music
>>74802065
Easily this
>>74803636

Cloud Nothings deserve so much more love.
>>74803745
Holy shit, someone here knows The Vernes??
They're my best friend's older brother's band. Spread the good word, Matt's a great all-around musician
>>74803559
They really deserve it. I've never seen a good melvins thread.
>>74803188
You watch melon too?

>>74803636
prep your bull
>>74802146
this
>>74803636
I believe that you're oversaturating (pun intended) the upper echelons of your rating system since you have both brockhampton albums as a 10.
>>74803559
>tfw houdini has been my lastfm icon since i joined in 2011

>>74803636
Delete your rym
None of the tracks on it compare to Nice Man off their prior record, but this is probably the album that I've listened to the most out of this year.
Full of Hell - Trumpeting Ecstasy
Tyler, the Creator - Flower Boy
Brand New - Science Fiction
I would say Old Gray - Slow Burn too but that dropped December 2016

really don't understand the hype behind this. it's not even the best hip album of the year.
>>74808182
hip hop album*
>>74808065
>>74808182
>>74808210
*blocks your path*
After Laughter, by Paramore, of course.
>>74808230
That's not it, either. Best hip hop album is a 3 way tie between Billy Woods, LUM/Bedwetter, and the new Mike album.
>>74804627
Eh I found this one pretty underwhelming. They either need to stay full on aggressive like their previous 2 or full on power-pop like their earlier stuff, not this in between bullshit.
>>74808065
Seconded.
this, sketches of brunswick east, new grandaddy and mountain goats, a crow looked at me, new styx is good
>>74808888
Checked
One of the few Scaruffi bands to get an 8 on one of their records in the 2010s took their craft to the next level of intensity.
Start with the longer tracks if you're new they are more accessible.

Jazz trio that takes a pretty cool approach to doing texture based jazz without following the current trendy approach.

I'll check it while I'm checking it
by far
