Korg MS-20 mini
They're pretty shit though t b h
Unless you get the real version from back in the day. Don't buy the mini version it's fuck ugly
>>74795228
you're an idiot. The MS20 is objectively one of the best beginner synthesizers to learn on. Incredibly versatile and affordable. I've been working with synths for close to 7 years and it's still one of my favourites.
The power electronic synthesizer

Moog Mother-32 or Pittsburgh Lifeforms SV-1 are better beginner synths imo because they make it easy to expand later with eurorack modules + Mother-32 has a built-in sequencer.
a keytar
black
Fruity loops

That's just you having shit taste and a bad ear for sound
>>74796120
but they're very limited standalone and the next step for most beginners is not eurorack
>>74797239
You can do what you can on an ms-20 mini on those though.
A common complain I've seen people have about the ms-20 mini is that they find it hard to come up with new stuff.
The freedom Mother-32 and SV-1 give you trumps that.
Also, expanding to eurorack sounds expensive, but it really isn't.
Get a small case or the 2 or 3 tier Mother-32 racks + a power supply module and then hunt for used modules.

You're blaming the instrument for writers block
wew
lad
Also you can integrate the korg with euro, dipshit
>>74797561
>You're blaming the instrument for writers block
Just what I see people say.
>Also you can integrate the korg with euro, dipshit
Oh sure, with some soldering, but Mother-32 and SV-1 have more patch points.
They're more versititle then the MS-20 mini
>>74795104
MS "hear me hiss, no chance to miss" 20
MS "s&h no worky, i rage" 20
MS "weak knob, easy to drop" 20
>>74797561
>Also you can integrate the korg with euro
that's actually quite complicated because of different triggers and different scales for pitch
>>74797617
There are more than one euro module that convert...harvestman I believe makes one. I don't have an trouble not using a converting module.
>>74797631
Why do that and waste case space when you can just solder together a tiny box?
Here's a video by Benn Jordan https://youtu.be/rTjprq7CFFo
But like I said, Mother-32 and SV-1 are more versititle synths.
>>74797631
if you just use additional lfos and envelopes it works, still the moog one is much more versatile and easier to integrate.
i still like my ms20 though
>>74797662
Like I said I don't have any problem, and I have a ms-10 as well.
>>74797670
Yeah it's pretty great, them filters are yummy
Idont know how an analog synths manages to sound digital. But this one does

it is great but limited to dirty sounds. when you dial in something nice sounding the monstrous hiss destroys it all
