Honestly I was a little disappointed with it at first but after another couple listens it grew on me a bit. It's no LC but it's not bad.

If LC is post-death depression, Villains is a mid-life crisis. They're both phenomenal, though LC is damn near perfect.

As for the Foos, I really liked Sky and parts of Run, so I'm hyped. Doubt it'll touch Wasting Light but it'll probably be worth listening to.
