the first half is classic-tier B&S, up there with the best of their songs

the second half will turn off most fans of their lo-fi, guitar-oriented sound with its camp and theatre-student production, but over time, the songs will grow on you, especially

IT SUCKS SO BAD, really I was so fucking annoyed how they went from Feeling Sinister, which is one of my favourites of all time, to this CRAP

I haven't bothered listening past this, but each record got worse after Sinister and this one is the worst of the lot.

Maybe some day I'll listen to the following albums and find a nice surprise.

Album is fucking awesome, better than anything they've done except Sinister. It's a pretty radical departure from the sound of their first four albums, but I'm glad they made that change - Fold Your Hands Child proved that their original formula couldn't go on forever.

It's unfortunate that B&S 2.0 never again came close to this level of consistent quality, but without this album I'm not sure if I'd consider them one of my favorite artists. The sheer joy of this record really rounds out their discography.
