Is metalheadz the best drum and bass label?

This is a blue board which means that it's for everybody (Safe For Work content only). If you see any adult content, please report it.

It defo seems like it

i think the only other contenders would be like commercial suicide and maybe good looking, though i would say that glr's best releases were jungle!

ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME THIS IS A MUSIC BOARD
>>
No U-Turn and Moving Shadows are better

Just seeing how man drum and bass labels I can even name.

I always feel like there's only 5.
RAM, Exit, Hospital, Shogun Audio, Subtitles, Good Looking, Tech Itch, Soul:r, Liquid Brilliants, Fokuz, Human Imprint, Project 51, Blackout Music, PRSPCT, Science, Breakbeat Science . . .

It is one of the most influential, but it didn't have the same magnitude as labels such as vision, moving shadow, and prototype.
>>
It's definitely the most boneheaded dnb label. Their banger to songs ratio is high.

Don't forget critical, 31 recordings, dispatch, signature, playaz, low down deep, methlab, and neosignal

Moving shadow had so many greats but just faded out. Ez rollers weekend world is a very underrated album

It's up there, in it's early days there almost wasn't a bad release on there and everything on it ended up being massive anthems. But it did have a really shitty period, however it is notable as an an old school label which rebooted and started releasing mainly good music again, which doesn't happen often.

I prefer No U-Turn, Emotif, Moving Shadow, Audio Blueprint, Basement Records and I think Renegade Hardware, Trouble On Vinyl, Prototype and Virus Recordings are on a similar level. I think No U-Turn (and Saigon) might ben the most influential as they really made Techstep huge and later morphed into early Neurofunk.

If we were going to include Jungle and Breakbeat Hardcore in the argument then without a doubt it's Moving Shadow.

go to bed, ninja/turny

yeah this stuff was inherently patchy. moving shadow was clearly the most consistent with the bangers. though.
