Meh it's ok. Hopefully they start recording heavier stuff again. But this album makes it look not very likely


That being said I actually picked it up today on vinyl. Sounds great and came with a poster

Cage The Elephant was my shit back during like freshman year of high school. I'm listening to some of the tracks right now and the different arrangements are interesting. They are a pretty normie band now though. I didn't even listen to that new album, the singles were pretty boring. Dan Auerbach is probably to blame. Anyway, they've got some classic tracks.

Cry baby sounds like a song that the older cage the elephant would've wrote I feel like it's an old song they had. Before the record would go to shit

Cold cold cold is ok
It's just nothing original though the guitar solo saves it from being a complete flop

And punching bag is pretty fun to jam when you don't pay attention to the corny lyrics
Especially the "afraid of nothing and she carries a knife" part. That makes me cringe every time

But yeah the rest should have been scrapped

Portuges knife fight could have been reworked a bit.
