i wouldnt say its better than veckatimest, but its alot better than i thought it would be from what was released before it came out.

this album was just way overproduced. definitely some interesting ideas here and there but i think it really suffers from the production. grizzly bear thrive with their use of dynamics and thanks to the over compression on this there really isn't much of that.

also the songwriting just isn't as strong and ed droste is a fuckin douche. honestly they'd be better if they were just a trio without him. daniel rossen is still the fuckin man
