Not OP but my friend killed himself in junior year of highschool, we were both a bunch of losers who just moved there but we were a tight knit group of losers, last thing I said to him was "hey dude are you okay you're acting kinda off are you sure everything's okay?" and he said he was so I didn't know what to do and just said okay and that I'd see him later, so I guess what I'd say is something to the effect of "come on dude I'll take you somewhere and we'll get something to eat and talk" or something I don't know

Hang in there anon. One of my best friends from childhood killed himself when i was 15. We'd kinda grown apart since starting high school and I just wish I could have been a better friend to him those last years.
