I haven't felt that way when listening to his solo stuff. There's an overall sound that he has that makes everything fit together. I haven't heard music that quite sounds like what he's been doing. Fuck Buttons have a similar feeling, but they're just as cohesive to me

Second best is definitely pic related, one of the best bm-related records I've heard probably ever. With a hinge of post-punk, tasteful saxophone insertions and overall very intense and beautiful vibes.

Thin Black Duke is v. nice.

For me I have to go with new Ulrika Spacek, it's a refreshing take on shoegaze, it's mixed really well, and all of the songs have a distinct sonic identity while still maintaining a common thread
