atomizer

here's a slimmed down version that's not as overwhelming. feel free to make suggestions
>>
I wish shartnigga would come back from the grave.
>>
>>74744285
I miss him too. The best noise rock album I've heard in a long time was captain condoms super cool so check that out. Also no skullflower
>>
>>74743637
Health do not deserve to be on this chart, theyre barely noise rock and a second rate brainiac
>>
>>74743637
Oh fuck I love that white suns album so much, one of my fav noise rock albums

WHat did you guys think of their new album? I know its more power electronics but I liked it. Not as good as their older stuff tho imo
>>
Melt-Banana were the band that got me into noise rock (and rock as a whole), does anyone have any recommendations similar? I can't find anything that matches their energy.
>>
>>74745654
Boredoms maybe? their early stuff at least.
I also found Midori to be kinda like a more acoustic melt banana at least in terms of energy
>>
>>74745654
guerilla toss - gay disco
PRE - epic fits
daughters - hell songs
>>
shit i've been checking out:
Bodychoke
Ed Hall - Motherscratcher
Flipper - Generic
Cop Shoot Cop - Consumer Report
>>
>>74745654
Midori
>>
>>74745800
i've been listening to a lot of ed hall lately too, trance records is goat. have you heard of crust?
>>
>>74742259
Japan for sure
>>
>>74745688
Midori has always come kinda close to scratching that itch but it doesn't really seem to grasp me in the same way Melt-Banana did, and I just looked up Boredoms now and I'm listening to Chocolate Synthesiser. It's really good so far, thanks anon.

>>74745793
Thanks I'll give them all a try too.
>>
>>74745862
I was thinking that too
>>
>>74745837
Nah, that was my first taste. Gonna check those ecords out tonite though thanks!
>>
>>74745862
Not for my taste, I guess. Japan has a lot of great Noise punk, but I usually prefer American: more No Wave or Beefhart inspired stuff like Arab on Radar, Daughters or Old Time Relijun.

How does this man produce so many great noise rock albums?
>>
>>74742859
first one in first row
second one in first row
continue until you get to the end
is that so fucking hard?
>>
Are White Suns the best contemporary noise band?
>>
I like Lightning Bolt
>>
>>74746938
they're more math rock
>>
>>74742859
I'd say cop by swans desu
>>
>>74745606
It's great imo. Like you said not as good as their noisier output but still great.

i dont really know any other modern straight noise bands
>>
why does sludge go so great with noise rock?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDzNx6tXsVA
>>
>>74747183
Math rock has nowhere to go on /mu/. It ends up in emo threads when they're up, but I think it fits here more anyway. At least the high-energy wall-of-sound type of math rock does. The twinkly stuff is more emo I guess.

Man... looking at this chart and seeing how i've only listened to like 5 of these albums really puts into perspective how i will never be able to listen to every album
>>
>>74748914
just so you know a lot of noise rock albums are under 40 minutes or under an hour. But nah thats a big ass chart might take a couple months of straight delving in to get everything, also its an entry level list

exactly. And I don't think I'm capable of listening to basically only noise rock for months even though I do like the genre

>ywn be a sage that is well versed in the entire history and minutiae of a single genre
>>
>>74749001
at most i think itd take 2 months the list isnt that long
>>
>>74744471
Have you listened to Kinda Cool yet
>>
>>74749401
Yeah but then I would just be rushing through albums and not letting them fully sit in and be absorbed

Some of my favorite albums are ones that I shrugged off after my first listen or two
>>
>>74749472
shit if i could find it, its unobtainable without money
>>
>>74749776
I was thinking about buying it, but then I saw it only has one new song.
>>
>>74750681
but no one but maybe 2 other people in the world heard it though
>>
>>74751467
That is true, but maybe they had a reason for leaving it off the main album.
