I like the first album. I got into Black Glaze while looking for something new within the Black Metal genre. By that point I was already getting bored with Black Metal all together. If anything it got me more into ambient music.

I fucking love them. There's an almost spiritual quality to their music, in that they basically apply that nature focus of bands like Ulver and Burzum to shoegaze. I had to get past them being sort of an "uncool" band, but they have 3 incredible albums. In feeling, they sort of have some of the same appeal as nature freak crust bands like Fall of Efrafa, only much lighter obviously. Infinitely better than Deafheaven, and for me the only "blackgaze" band that measures up to them is Oathbreaker
