Definitely agree with this anon >>74741427 this is not an accessible pop album at all. It's not for everyone and that's why I'm assuming the reviews are most likely gonna be pretty mixed across the board.

This album is definitely their softest release. I feel like this is just part of them aging while having all the commercial input that they have on their plate. After hearing TWWUTD my expectations sank hard, then hearing The Evil Has Landed they went up a bit. That song seems like the next "Fun Machine Took a Shit and Died" whatever the fuck that is supposed to mean. More or less this was disappointing of a QOTSA album but honestly wasn't too too bad, just really soft. People would say they were one of the last few "real" rock bands holding the torch, they just dropped it with this one.

Haven't heard villains yet. EV has the most unique and bizarre sound while still being fun as hell. I appear missing is their best song though, to be fair to LC
