I have a very personal history with this album, it is my favorite album of all time, I continue to learn about myself through the album and it's fresh every time. It's lyrical content is amazing, it's sonically complex, labrie's vocals are soaring, inspiring, and dark. It has a really dark atmosphere and talks about a lot of subjects, all connected by musical motifs, connecting the whole album with the theme of growing up. It's about regretting life choices, social isolation and not being accepted, friendships souring, the unbiased inner philosophical battles of religion, addiction and isolating yourself, evil people who use you/how addiction and pushing yourself away can affect others, how great love can be, and how much it can hurt. It's so dizzying and epic and has a lot of twists and turns. Every song takes the spotlight, but Scarred to me will always stand out. It is about every theme on the album, like it was all leading up to this epic conclusion. Even after this song, the heartbreaking "Space Dye Vest" comes in. It's an amazing record, and I definitely believe you must listen to it before you die. It was actually the first album I ever listened to.

MY NIGGA
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lG19up8xP18
This song makes no sense if you don't understand the lyrics so here's my 5 minute translation:
In the early hours neither of us can party anymore
In the early hours neither of us can party anymore
Tired gazes, hoarse voices
In the background, a sun that doesn't warm
In the background, a sun that doesn't warm
You went away
I watched from the balcony
At your distancing back
You walked around the puddle
And I could guess that you do not worry about this breakup
All the birds in the bushes are singing in the morning before seven
All the birds in the bushes are singing in the morning before seven
Tired gazes, hoarse voices
In the background, a sun that doesn't warm
In the background, a sun that doesn't warm
You went away
I watched from the balcony
At your distancing back
You walked around the puddle
And I could guess that you do not worry about this breakup
The last drink of the night
Turns into a breakfast
I added coffee into it
You went away
I watched from the balcony
At your distancing back
You walked around the puddle
And I could guess that you do not worry about this breakup
You went away
I watched from the balcony
At your distancing back
You walked around the puddle
And I could guess that you do not worry about this breakup
