What is your system for rating an album, /mu/?
if i like it its good if i dont like it its bad
>>74701910
Yankee detected. Bread pudding is good shit.
If I enjoy the album (I don't see myself rating it less than a 7), I'll listen to it again and decide how much overall I enjoy it (10 - no weak tracks, 9 - 1 or 2 weak tracks, etc)
If I thought it was lacking or didn't kept me interested but music was overall ok, I'll rate it a 6.
Lower than 6 I'll rate the album, depending on how much I hated it or how much it bored me.
I give 1 to an album that was utterly unlistenable to me.
Albums with few good songs but lots of filler get somewhere like 4-5 (depends on my mood desu)

Agreed, it's awesome
10 - reserved to one song I don't even tell anyone about
(and the album that contains it)
9 - stupidly good, even the weakest songs are great
8 - some awesome stuff, a little meh stuff
7 - half good half meh, or just good as a whole
6 - I kinda liked it I guess. Maybe not.
5 - I don't mind it
4 - Try to listen to it sometimes, keep coming bad but just don't click with me
3 - shit
2 - shit so bad it personally offends me
1 - Corey Feldman -tier

5: it was alright
0.5:it was not alright
5 - As close to perfection as is possible
4.5 - One of my favourites of all times
4 - Excellent
3.5 - Good, I enjoy listening to it
3 - Average, but with nothing wrong with it
2.5 - Slightly below average, a few problems
2 - Poor, difficult to listen to
1.5 - Very bad, will never play it again out of choice
1 - Horrendous, no redeeming features whatsoever, an insult to listeners and creator
0.5 - I haven't rated anything 0.5 yet and I sincerely hope I never have to
1 - Fucking shite, the worst of the worst, very little to no good/not bad tracks
2 - Generally shit, but still has a few tracks that I can bear (or sometimes even enjoy)
3 - Definitely below average, but has a few tracks that I could consider enjoyable
4 - Bad. Not terrible, just bad. May have one or two tracks that I will like/choose to listen to
5 - Average; this is the base rating. Every album is a 5 until it proves itself otherwise
6 - Just good; not amazing, not incredible, just plain old good
7 - Very good, but still has a fair amount of flaws/mediocre tracks
8 - Albums where the good aspects of the album greatly outweigh the bad parts, to the point where the bad parts are forgiveable
9 - Albums that would be 10s but have one/two tracks that are significantly worse than the others
10 - Fucking incredible. Every/almost every track is great.
11 - A true masterpiece; every fucking single bit of it is perfect/almost perfect.
love it
enjoy it a lot
like it
dont really like it
dislike it
hate it

5 - Perfect
4.5 - Perfect but I'm too much of a pussy to give it a 5
4 - excellent, although maybe short on one or two things or otherwise nothing "new"
3.5 - Good to great. Most albums end up here for me
3 - okay to good, better than average at the least
2.5 - average, maybe a little enjoyable but otherwise mediocre
2 - painfully mediocre to the point where I'll usually drop it if I'm not able to tolerate it.
1.5 - pretty fucking bad, this is usually territory where I put albums where I question if the artist has any talent in the slightest
1 - holy fucking cunt how do you fuck up this bad. I'll let it go if the artist has a pleasant voice or something
0.5 - Everything has to go wrong to end up here. No talent, bad instrumental arranging, shit ideas.
0 - the void
anything under 8 is shit tier
9 is decent
10 is good
