I'm having a trouble finding a song that I've heard in a gym.
The lyrics went like this: "Aay, the city's gonna love you".
Singer was a male, probably black, he sung the chorus in a very high pitch.

Closer. It contained a long "Aaay" voice then the "city's gonna love you" then an instrumental part "du-dum dum dum du-dum dum dum du-dum du-dum du-dum dum dum" then again with the "Aaaay, the city's gonna love you". Don't know if this helps.
