I understand that the vast majority of /mu/ is insecure judgmental pretentious fools, but I want to bring up an interesting topic for me. Music, like all other art, is inherently subjective, but at the same time, are there not objective factors by which we can quantify accomplishment? I mean, can you really say Drake is better than King Crimson and expect to be right on some level?

Let me elaborate.
Think about music on a technical level.
Now also take into consideration the effort each artist puts forward.
Do you think Quavo works as hard as Sufjan Stevens?
How about Kanye West spending 5,000 hours on one song?
Is that not why most music fans consider his stuff timeless?
