They haven't made one song that has come close to Desire Lines or Twilight at Carbon Lake. They are good tho.
>Spring Hall Convert
>Twilight at Carbon Lake
>Vox Humana
>He Would Have Laughed
>Sleepwalking
>Take Care
>>74670001
1. Desire lines is a poor man's Nothing ever happened and if you think otherwise your judgement on what a good song is is fundamentally flawed.
2. The Purple Bottle, Winter's Love, Banshee Beat, Alvin Row, Chocolate Girl, Brothersport, Fireworks, Water Curses, Did You See the Words, In The Flowers, Bluish, Leaf House, Grass... I could go on but if you're going to make a direct comparison at least pick a half decent Deerhunter song so you don't make it that easy.
>>74670073
Animal Collective is terrible you pathetic worm.

Hi.
>>74672694
Here's a link for anyone who hasn't heard PCC.
This is easily their best album.

>>74669571
cheeky
>>74670256
it really might end up becoming the defining rock album
>>74670256
god thee oh sees are so underated. every album theyve dropped for a while now has been an honest to god classic.
>>74673027
Anyone listened to 'Orc' yet?
>>74669444
You're right you know.
That album is a masterpiece with perfected production.
>>74669444
this

Thanks
this thread is honestly so depressing
is this how low indie rock has sunk
are we really praising fucking bradford cox now
>>74673132
enlighten us then
>>74670256
also the best live band right now
>>74673132
He is great though.
>>74673132
Bradford Cox is making better music than literally any person of any other genre over the last 10 years, the realm of music outside indie rock has fallen way the fuck faster than indie rock
>>74673233
I might go see them next month
>>74673132
pleb
>>74669675
Futura is one of my favorite songs of all time now. This is their best album, shame their 3rd was kind of lacking.
>>74669444
8/10. Honestly, I prefer The Fading Frontier which might be their best imo
>>74669637
7/10, love the old school production and guitar tones but his voice just doesn't carry the album too well for me
>>74669675
8/10. Nice, Eccentric, Fun. But by far not the best of decade
>>74669655
9/10. Honestly in the running. Such a fantastic fusion of guitar landscapes, also the riffs and the overall production is just smooth as fuck. It's like the "Kaputt" of Heartland Rock
>>74669873
9/10. Fucking fantastic, The full colored vision of Psychedelia we needed in this decade. No other Psych Record has mattered this decade (possibly even this century) as much as Lonerism. Obviously the production and catchy songwriting is the irresistible aspect of this album, but it's the lyrics that really fucking shine through as they are rooted in a heavy depression and Kevin seems to be very self conscious of what he is emotionally trying to convey.
>>74672623
Wrong, relisten and get back to me
>>74675806
7/10. Human Performance is their best imo
Both bands are entry level garbaj, but I still kinda like Feels and Microcastle. I guess I just miss being a lonely self-loathing 15-year-old.
>>74669468
this
>>74676148
you are entry level garbage
Top 3 Anco:
1. Strawberry Jam
2. Fall Be Kind
3. Feels
Top 3 Deerhunter
1. Fading Frontier
2. Microcastle
3. Monomania
Fight me Hippie Pusses
>>74676415
the problem with this list is i don't see fireworks alvin row brothersport desire lines nothing ever happened OR helicopter in it
>>74676456
Fireworks is on Strawberry Jam ya willy
microcase was better imo
>>74676637
Microcastle* im sorry
I don't want to wake up, no.
>>74669444
8/10 - Easily their most realized effort, but Monomania beats it for me just by a bit. I'm a sucker for the noisy, guttural Royal Trux style i guess.
>>74669637
9/10 - I have yet to hear a guitar album filled with this much emotion, talent, and taste in experimental structures this decade. Perhaps the ideal choice.
>>74669655
8/10 - Similar to what Public Strain is, of course minus the experimental elements. Blends together just about everything there is to enjoy out of 70's/80's heartland rock.
>>74669675
8/10 - A lot more consistently eccentric and playful than Mirrored. Underrated.
>>74669873
7/10 - Probably would have been my choice for the best if I was 16 again.
>>74670256
6/10 - Thee Oh Sees had this period from like the beginning of the decade up to Drop where they constantly pumped out some of their most forgettable material. A Weird Exits and Orc are both really solid though.
>>74676028
5/10 - Can't see for the life of me what people see in this compared to the far superior Thank Your Lucky Stars. They strive to sound even more cosmic here and end up coming off with an experience thats more vapid than anything else.
Microcastle is the best Deerhunter album
>>74678010
Album art looks pretty interesting!
>Burger Records
oh
>>74676415
>>74676637
