Most of those bands I would consider more Hardcore influenced than what I would consider Metalcore. When I think of the Metalcore sound I think of music like Earth Crisis or Killswitch Engage.

Not a bad sound but done to death by dumb teenagers, including myself for a brief couple of months. Getting to have Horse the band is worth sitting through all the breakdown slut local bands while getting smacked by karate kids though.

Not bad. Pretty fun to blast in the car when I'm feeling edgy. This album is really obscure, but it's one of my favorites.

I think Metalcore is a hit and miss genre. Some good stuff, but also some bad.

I also hate the term. Metalcore sounds so fucking vague.

I tried Metalcore once, but was disappointed that it wasn't a fusion of Heavy Metal and Hardcore Gabber.

The only enjoyment I get from bands like parkway drive now is the nostalgia, the actual music itself if I heard it for the first time today I would hate it, but teenage years come back to me when which I put on something like KWAS.
