This unbearable whiteness thing pisses me of because HOW exactly are black people being pushed out or underrepresented in indie rock? You don't apply to be in an indie group, you just pick up a guitar/synth/dildo/whatever and start playing some shit. You can't be discriminated against. The absurdity of the whole thing can be likened to saying something "why aren't there any Chinese people playing Hindustani Classical music?". This kind of music is just something that is just culturally white. There's no racism inherent to something like this. It's just not a black cultural thing to form a guitar based music group and sing about your feelings. Fuck!!
