Is This It is a legitimately great album, but if you really would have had to be part of that early 2k's garage/indie revival zeitgeist to understand it in full context. I hate saying that because it sounds like pretentious and dadrocky, but it really is true. It was such a product of its time.

I've been listening almost exclusively to trap rap this year and I put on a strokes song and it still sounds as sleek and modern and cool as anything the kids are listening to these days
