My Microphones/Mount Eerie collection
I do have some very rare stuff pictured but certain releases are actually impossible to get like Seven Songs so I can never go 100%

That's awesome! Do you own them more for collective/decorative purposes to keep them all as mint as possible, or do you listen to them often as well? I've been wanting to get more of his stuff on vinyl but but was unsure how his stuff sounds on vinyl... does anyone know if the vinyl is printed straight from the master tapes or is it digitally remastered and stuff for the printing? Thanks

I listen to them, for sure. Phil is one of the few artists who's physical release I try to collect, so I like to keep his records in good condition. He puts out a lot of white and clear records which some people will say sound "much worse" than your average black records, but I think they sound great. The packaging is always impeccable too.
I'm not sure what his mastering process is though.
not gonna take any pics but for phil's stuff ive got
- early tapes
- don't wake me up (reissue)
- it was hot (reissue)
- the glow pt. 2 (reissue)
- little bird flies into a big black cloud
- mount eerie (reissue)
- drums from mount eerie
- song islands
- live in japan
- no flashlight (reissue)
- black wooden ceiling opening
- lost wisdom
- song islands 2
- singers
- wind's poem
- live in bloomington
- mount eerie pts 6+7
- sauna
- a crow looked at me

phil presses his own vinyl so I'm assuming he uses the masters

I'm tempted to get Pts 6 and 7 but I just don't love that release you know? I think Lost Wisdom is nice too but do I need to own it? The Copenhagen show is epic, but not something I'm burning to have. Bloomington is good too...
Also, how the heck do you have Little Birds? That's one of the mega rare ones. Let me guess, you have Blood too? Actually could you take a pic of your Little Birds record? They're all unique so...
im fairly new to vinyl collecting. do you guys buy original presses if newer ones are available?
>>74599050
Yeah, there's no shame in it. Old pressings are 'cooler' but new pressings are cool too.
>>74599038
there's a copy of little bird on ebay right now ending in under 30 minutes.
Don't have blood, but I've been looking out for it.
I actually really like 6&7 a lot and the photo book makes it worth it. I have dust too which is nice as hell
Bottom picture there's my Dylan collection. My whole collection is logged here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1yBrmQXvfBxLddQqcWto2Hkk5h1vTMdTd_wkF4BybakA/edit?usp=sharing

Newer pressings are usually pretty overpriced imo, usually if you find a good used record store you can get some good deals on older pressings.

Wow, there it is folks. I hope you take good care of it! Interesting cover by Kyle Fields on that one. Someone should make a public folder out of all the known Blood and Little Bird covers or something. It'd be tight to have a copy of both one day but I'm not getting my hopes up.
Phil's photo books do look good.

I see that you put images of yours is on discogs huh?
>>74599151

>>74599178

I guess several people made covers of it not just Kyle so says the slip of paper that came with it

The best thing about these threads is that there's always at least one poorfag who's bitter his summer retail gig ended.
Also got the entire discog of Pan.Thy.Monium and Panda Bear (except for Crosswords EP and of course self-titled)
