you mean low-calorie Slint? no. A Minor Forest is the best

I dunno man. Jeff Mueller was in Rodan, and they were doing Slint's shtick pretty concurrently with Slint, and arguably better earlier. I don't think it's fair to say June of 44 ripped off Slint when it was an extension of Rodan.
June of 44's sound is its own. Slint wasn't the only band in Louisville.

Is June of 44 really a neglected band nowadays?
I remember than in the 90s they were up there with bands like Tortoise, Don Caballero or Labradford.
Have you guys heard the June drummer's solo stuff?

They're definitely up there, probably my favorite of the older bands. Not sure why they don't get mentioned as much here.

No. Post some nigger.

I would say they are hardcore neglected. In my experience, people knew who Tortoise was and didn't care. Same with Don Cab. I was literally the only person I knew who listened to J44. Feels kinda crazy because they are so good and one of the only bands in this genre to consistently release brilliant albums.
And yet I've never had a single conversation about them with anyone.

I've never been able to have a single conversation with anyone about any music I listen to.
