Thoughts on Silkworm?
Along with Spoon, just a nothing MOR indie rock band to me. I never heard what so many others did in them, despite enduring Firewater on a near-nightly basis at one point in 1999. It just seemed like put-on working-class poetry, the drawl is bullshit. See Craig Finn.

Silkworm are the complete opposite of MOR to me. They've got this timeless factor to their music imo, while most indie rock is too much of a product of its time. They reinvented their sound a bit by Lifestyle and kept improving on it throughout the 2000s. I'd recommend you check out that era of Silkworm if you're more used to the Firewater era.
