I have a cheap 10w squier amp that doesn't really sound bad imo
I think recording your cabinet adds lots of warmth to sound but at the same time it's just a 10w speaker
I'm wondering if /mu/ thinks its better to record straight from my pedalboard into an audio interface and recording on the computer with no amplifier or taking my amplifier and recording off of that or maybe connecting my interface to the headphone jack using an auxiliary chord for better sound quality?
I have an MXR pre amp which helps emulate the sound of an amplifier and I play without distortions and fuzz
Help?
use a mic and DI it. split channels. mix to taste. sm57's are cheap, or get a budget condenser/ribbon

sm57, experiment with the mic position, little changes can change the sound a lot

Can you explain a bit about what a DI box does?
