ITT: albums that are terrible in stereo

you really dont like the new stereo mix? i thought it was great for the most part

It stunk. It's way too clean sounding (the lo-fi demo quality was part of the charm of the album) and it seems like they turned up the instruments way too loud. Brian buried that shit in the mix for a reason.
And before anyone starts calling me a purist I did like Smiley Smile in stereo.
Sgt. Pepper (Although I haven't heard the 50th anniversary edition yet)
Pink Floyd-PATGOD
The Yardbirds-Roger The Engineer.
I've also been told that The Rolling Stones' Her Satanic Majesty's Request is also better in mono.

i hated Smiley Smile in stereo (exactly because of those reasons) but loved Wild Honey, funny
the Sunshine Tomorrow mix revealed to me the true potential of this material

Anything recorded in mono should stay in mono, imo.
That said, I thought the new Stereo mix of Wild Honey was pretty good. I guess I'd have to re listen to the mono to compare.
Friends and Sunflower Sessions when?
