whats amazing is how much snowball effect surrounds velvet underground. they had like only a dozen actual good songs entire career and no one gave a shit the first time around it was mainly bowie fans (who are also retarded for believing bowie was an actual alien) but the bowie fans understood VU was apparently one of his influences so they flocked to it, and a band that had already broken up is kinda like how we mysticize the dead,

so you have it, velvet undergrounds entire fanbase consists of a bunch of hipsters who weren't actually there in the first place. the only connection they have with the band is trading increasingly obscure and rare velvet underground outtakes.
